It’s hunting season, so protect your ears

For lots of sections in the country, hunting season has begun. Whether it’s turkey, deer, bear or pheasant, hunters are polishing off their rifles and firearms to take to the woods.
One thing they don’t want to forget, though, is their ear protection.
ESP offers a full line of hearing protection ear plugs to protect one of your most vital senses while hunting, your hearing!
ESP carries five hearing protection products to protect your precious ear drums, each of them custom-fitted to your ears, so there’s no excuse not to bring your electronic ear protectors with you to camp.
Not worried because you're still young?
Even at a young age, people can start to lose their hearing. Think about it, repeated blasts at decibel levels that exceed 140. Studies have shown anything over 85 dB can affect your hearing, so you can see how multiple blasts at 140 dB a year can affect your hearing over time.
Once your hearing starts to go, and if you keep on not preventing it, it will quickly start to decline until you'll be forced to wear something in your ear in order to hear: A hearing aid.
So make sure you take steps to protect your ears with state-of-the-art with electronic ear protection
Protect your hearing now, so you can hear later.

Electric Shooters Protection sponsors the best skeet shooter in the world!

This image, which was originally posted to Flickr.com, was uploaded to Commons using Flickr upload bot on 10:19, 3 August 2012 (UTC) by Egghead06 (talk). On that date it was licensed under the license below.
Electric Shooters Protection is proud to congratulate Vincent Hancock on his second consecutive gold medal in skeet shooting! Vincent won this past week in London, holding off Andres Golding of Denmark, who took the silver and finished two targets back.
Hancock also set an Olympic record with his score of 148.
When the AP asked Hancock what gold medal is sweeter, the U.S. Army Sergeant said this time was.
‘‘Being able to stand back up there again and listen to the national anthem again, it’s got to be better,’’ said Hancock, the first skeet shooter to win consecutive Olympic titles. ‘‘But it hasn’t set in fully yet.’’
Hancock was able to hear The Star Spangled Banner, of course, because his ears were being protected by Electric Shooters Protection’s Stealth ear protectors, ESP’s most popular model.
The event took place at the Royal Artillery Barracks in London.
Hancock told the AP he wasn’t sure if he wasn’t going to compete in these Olympics, but after deciding too he’s not looking back now. Hancock was the youngest competitor and will have his eyes set on Rio in 2016.
If the best shooter in the world qualifies again, we’ll be sure to sponsor him with in ear hearing protection again too.
Frank Thompson, who also wore the Stealth ear protectors didn’t finish in the medals, but represented Electric Shooters Protection and his country proudly and we salute him for that.
Take a look at NBC’s video coverage here and the story written by the AP’s Tim Reynolds here

How prepared are you for your next hunt or shooting experience?

When it comes to equipment, most hunters, shooters and law enforcement officials have top of the line gear, with a variety of gadgets to be as productive and accurate as possible. One item that most shooters are usually missing is quality ear protection. Without proper ear hearing protection, the possibilities of hearing loss (both temporary and permanent) are endless. Just one shot without earplugs can be damaging to your hearing, so imagine shooting several (hundred) times a day, every day, without them.

Some examples of symptoms you may have from shooting without ear hearing protection include, but are not limited to:

Ringing and/or Pressure in the ear
Dizziness
Difficulty hearing higher pitches - e.g. Children, Birds, etc.
Difficulty understanding speech in background noises
Decreased dynamic range of hearing
...and of course, h
earing loss

Above you will see our Elite Digital Shooters Hearing Protection Earplug, please check out our website for more information on this set of custom ear plugs.

Don't allow yourself to get caught up in the hunt without proper ear hearing protection, you deserve to hear the sounds of birds chirping and children laughing for many years to come!
